UC Riverside Dining Services is proud to announce the opening of The Den, the newest market located at North District Phase 2, debuting Summer 2025.

The Den brings a fresh and modern dining experience to the UC Riverside community and beyond. This vibrant market features a full-service coffee bar proudly brewing Klatch Coffee, fresh panini and bagel sandwiches, fresh cut fruit daily, and a wide variety of beverages, snacks, and essentials.

Open to students, staff, faculty, and the surrounding community, The Den accepts credit/debit cards, Dining Dollars, and Bear Bucks, providing flexible and convenient payment options for all.

The Den’s name reflects the spirit of collaboration between Riverside City College (RCC) and UC Riverside (UCR). It honors the institutions’ mascots, the bear and tiger, both finding comfort in a den, symbolizing community and partnership.

“This project is a celebration of the connection between the students of UCR and RCC,” said Marcus Van Vleet, Executive Director, UCR Dining & Hospitality Services. “We are excited to bring a space that offers quality food and convenience to support the growing North District community.”
